Hello everyone,

I hope all is well with you. Today I’m back with a topic I’ve been thinking about for a while and am excited to write about.

Cloud computing is not a recent development. It has been around for a while, and we learned about it in college when we were studying engineering. The majority of applications today run on the cloud, thus as testers, it is our responsibility to test them. How could you test effectively if you didn’t understand the fundamentals of cloud computing and those terms?

So, it’s an important skill for us. There are few cloud providers and a lot of certifications available.

Why AWS?

I passed the AWS Solutions Architect Associate Exam last year. I should acknowledge that I spent around six months getting ready. I took that exam because of the encouragement I received from my partner. I had my doubts that someone with a background in software testing could figure it out. Once I started studying, I realized that this certification has little to do with coding and instead demands a deep understanding of the AWS services. Learning more about the services was interesting. In fact, I was astounded by AWS’s list of services. You have a service in place for anything!
